A non-profit community development organization that provides financial assistance and training to small businesses and entrepreneurs throughout Hudson and Essex counties, as well as other counties around the state. The mission of GNEC is economic development by way of financing small business growth and job creation.

Hispanic American Commerce Association (HACA)

An advocacy group aimed at supporting Hispanic-owned businesses. HACA encourages its members to get involved in social and economic activities across the city.

Historic Downtown SID

HDSID works with local businesses, property owners and neighborhood associations in conjunction with the City government to promote the area, improve the services provided and undertake any and all activity to make Historic Downtown Jersey City a better place to live, work and visit. HDSID also maintains the grounds to make a cleaner, safer and more attractive business district.

Jackson Hill Main Street is a Special Improvement District (SID) that provides important resources for business owners in the area. The organization focuses on safety and cleanliness by beautifying the streetscape.  JHMS also markets and plans special events in the district.

The Jersey City Economic Development Corporation (JCEDC) is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation created in 1980. 

Mission: To promote and facilitate economic development throughout Jersey City.

JCEDC offers small business loan programs and assists with NJ’s Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) application.
